Ask questions that...
• ...engage with the basic facts of the passage. For example, questions that begin with who, what, or when.
• ...engage the mind. For example, questions that begin with “why” or “how.”
• ...connect this passage with others in Hebrews as well as other Scriptures in the Bible.
• ...help others apply it to their lives.
• ...challenge others to wrestle with a difficult concept
• ...don’t have a “yes” or “no” answer.
• ...stir the heart. For example, questions that prod by asking, “how does this make you feel?”
• ...move others to action.

Hebrews Chapter 7 Review {Lesson 8/Day 11}

There’s not a soul reading this today that isn’t dealing with big problems and big sins. Truly grasping the greatness of Jesus as your Savior and Priest means knowing the one who is big enough to deal with big problems and sins. All of this teaching about Melchizedek is designed to help you understand something about Jesus, to strengthen your hope and assurance, to help you know that you have a Savior big enough to deal with your problems and a Priest who is able to deal with your sins.

Hebrews Chapter 6 Review {Lesson 8 /Day 10}

What a beautiful reminder today that God wants us both sharp in the word and showing love for His
name, and what a powerful reminder also that we can and should have not just assurance but “full
assurance of hope until the end.” If you ever doubt your salvation or question whether you are truly
inheriting the promise, look no further than Hebrews chapter six. Have you repented and shared in the Holy Spirit? Then you should be earnest for the Word and desiring to grow and teach and showing love for His name in serving the saints. Your assurance isn’t because of your works, it is demonstrated in your works because God is at work in you. If you are not assured in your salvation, then today is the day. Don't harden your heart. Consider Jesus and give Him your heart today. #lmccwomen #facebooklive #womensministry #biblestudy

Hebrews Chapter 4 Review {Lesson 8 /Day 8}

Have you ever stopped to think about what God wants for you? Obedience? Honor? Glory? Yes. Yes. Yes. But consider this, that literally since the dawn of time, God has wanted for you – rest. Better than the kind that you get after church on Sundays – that’s just a nap. Better than after a long week when you get two days off – that’s just the weekend. What God has provided is always better. The author of Hebrews wants us to grasp this, and that’s where we’ll continue to study today. Are you ready to understand the depths of God’s rest? Let’s study!

Hebrews Chapter 3 Review {Lesson 5/Day 7}

How many people claim to follow Christ treating him as their “Get Out of Hell” card? When we hear that we can have our sins forgiven, dodge Hell and get into heaven and it’s as simple as just believing?...hmmmm, that’s pretty easy! Come forward at an altar call. Accept Jesus into my heart as a child. Pray the “Sinner’s Prayer.” But later, a trial comes—a wilderness time. Bored of manna. Weary of persevering and what that actually takes...the pleasures of the world – or simply the lack of zeal for the fixing our eyes on Jesus – take priority and you find yourself no longer interested in Christ and his Word and prayer and worship and missions and living for the glory of God.
The author of Hebrews is exhorting and encouraging us today to check our hearts. If we don’t hold tight, we were never truly of “his house.” Do not treat God’s grace lightly. Don’t think that you can receive it like a way out, but not live with God’s guidance and truth in your daily life. Don’t leave this time today satisfied in taking the mercy of God to avoid Hell, but remain hard in your heart toward him when it comes to daily fellowship. Humble your heart today and exhort others in your life to do the same.
