Chill Bible Study: Lesson 1/Day 4
What a blessing that we can not just come to God but we can come to God and know Him with all our senses. Listen today and see how David modeled that closeness with God.
Dwelling Richly Community Bible Study. This is a four-lesson study through Psalms written to give you 28 days of focused time in the Word to rethink, renew, and rediscover God’s plan for your restless heart. Each lesson is designed to focus on an aspect that will help us find our chill even when life won’t let us stop. In between each lesson we’ll have an encouraging teaching time with real women like you who are learning what it looks like to truly trust and rest in our wonderful God and Savior. We can be busy and still chill. We can be pushed to the limit...and still chill. We can rush, and plan, and do and go and still in the middle of it all find the rest and anchor in the God who created us for chilling.
We’ll use the word “chill” as an acronym to help us in five ways...
C – Come to Him...being willing to come to God in every circumstance
H – Hide in Him...let him envelop you even while you’re surrounded by hectic life
I – “I Am” – Know the God who made you
L – Let go – release your need for control and...
L – Let God – open your hands, your heart, your calendar and plans and let God work in every area of your life, heart, soul, mind and strength.
I know that if you will enter in to this study with an open and willing heart, and maybe just a little nudge to make some changes in your schedule, you’ll come away with a fresh perspective and tools to help you not only live a more calm, confident, and peaceful life – but a life that will in turn be a witness and encouragement to others.

Chill Bible Study: Lesson 1/Day 3
What are you willing to do to find peace? Are you coming to God with your ideas of how to rest? Are you willing to hear from God? Listen again to the Words in Psalm 34 as an encouragement to you and a reminder to you of what truly coming to God means.

Chill Bible Study: Lesson 1/Day 2
Where do you go when you are feeling desperate? Disconnected? Tired and nervous? Psalm 34 is a great reminder of the power of just going to God. When the world says be strong, trust yourself, you are enough, God’s word says, “Come to me.” It’s in God alone that we have true rest and hope.

Chill - Rethink Stress and Rest
Friday Jun 14, 2019
Friday Jun 14, 2019
There comes a time in our lives when we realize that we just need to “chill out”, right? I mean, haven’t you felt the tension rise and in spite of your best efforts you snapped at someone – maybe even someone you love? You have been running full steam ahead and now, your calendar is more full than ever, your appointments are not easing up, and life just feels like it’s spinning all around you. You wish you could just walk away onto the sandy shores of a soothing beach, feel the pebbly sand between your toes, the fresh breeze, take a big dose of vitamin sea...and chill.
There’s something almost magic in the way that getting away and breathing a deep breath can revive your soul. The thing is, going away to the beach, or the lake, or the river – as soothing and wonderful as that can be – only means that you will need to come back to life again. What if you could take the soothing with you? What if you could put into practice some habits that could help you chill like you were on a lounge chair with a drink in one hand and a romantic novel in the other. What if you could take that chill with you anywhere?
God has designed us for rest, renewal, reviving – chilling out! He literally put it into the design of the creation when he breathed mankind into existence. But, we continue to miss that rest, struggle to renew, feel trapped, stuck, and often overwhelmed. This study will help you rediscover the rest that God intended.
Each lesson is designed to focus on an aspect that will help us find our chill even when life won’t let us stop. We can be busy and still chill. We can be pushed to the limit...and still chill. Faithful & Fearless: Lesson 6/Day 9, Esther 9:20-32
Ultimately, God has promised that “joy comes in the morning” and not just for a day, but forever when “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Rev. 21:4) So, the joyful reversals and thrilling relief in the turnings of Esther are just a foretaste of the greatest joy, the final relief, and the culmination of all turnings when every knee will bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord! What a day! What a glorious day to anticipate. While we wait and long for that day we “sing the praises of the Lord and praise his holy name!”

Faithful & Fearless: Lesson 6/Day 7, Esther 9:11-19
The idea of recalling to mind the faithfulness of God is throughout Scripture. God told his people to set stones at the boundaries of their lands to leave a visual reminder of His deliverance. Every feast day recorded in Leviticus points to the greatness of God – deliverance, provision, forgiveness and more. In Psalm 42 David is so sad and depressed he says it feels like he’s drowning, but through that, he says “I remember.” David calls to mind the good times with God and with God’s people, and he asks the same question we should, “Why be so sad? God’s got this!” As the Jews rejoiced with gladness and feasting at their miraculous deliverance, we should follow their example. Recall the greatness of God, rejoice in what He’s done, and retell the account to bless others and lift our own soul from deep sadness
